Shenk’s Ferry Wildflower Preserve | Conestoga, PA

If you haven’t been to Shenk’s Ferry Wildflower Preserve, this is the time of year you will want to go. This is the time when nature is coming back to life. It was such a nice weekend retreat to walk through the woods and notice these little tide buds waking up, the shift of Spring taking over and what little traces of winter are left. Everything from the Virginia Bluebells to the Susquehanna Trilliums were just absolutely breathtaking. This is the time when the leaves are still bare enough to allow enough light for these natural beauties to grow and thrive. Needless to say, I feel the ongoing need to “get out” more.
