I always enjoy the mild breaks in winter. Today I felt lost at one point as the landscape felt entirely new and unfamiliar, although we’ve walked this path many times before. The season of winter always feels more open to me in the sense of the lighter hues of the grass and remnants of leaves, and the bare tree branches allow more of the sky to fill the atmosphere. Of course I long for the days of lush greens, but I am relishing in the softer scenery of winter, with sunnier days and blue skies.
